The Vet Office is recruiting on behalf of a busy, well-equipped 24-hour veterinary hospital in Dorchester, Dorset, which is seeking a Night Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join its dedicated and supportive night team.
The Role
This is a permanent, part-time night position, offering an excellent opportunity to develop skills in medical and surgical nursing within a hospital setting.
Working pattern:
* 5 nights on / 9 nights off (rolling rota)
* Sole nursing charge overnight
* Working alongside a dedicated Night Veterinary Surgeon
The role provides significant autonomy and responsibility, making it ideal for a confident RVN looking to progress within emergency and hospital nursing.
The Hospital
This fully refurbished 24-hour hospital supports out-of-hours care, hospitalisation and case work-ups for surrounding practices as well as first-opinion work during the week.
Facilities include:
* CT suite
* Two surgical theatres
* Ultrasound
* Endoscopy
The hospital manages a wide and complex caseload, offering excellent exposure to both first-opinion and advanced clinical care. You will work alongside experienced colleagues, including certificate holders and ECC professionals, within a welcoming and social team.

* RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse
* Confident working sole charge overnight

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality patient care, including nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 activities
* Support consultations, surgeries and procedures in line with regulatory and practice standards
* Monitor patients and manage admissions and discharges
* Provide excellent client care and communication
* Work collaboratively within a supportive clinical team
