About the Business We’re looking for a motivated Management Accountant to join the growing finance team of a well-established tech business based near Birmingham Airport. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on, commercial environment and is keen to develop their career in management accounting. Main Duties: As a Management Accountant, your main duties include: * Preparing detailed monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all entities * Managing cash books and completing bank reconciliations, including processing occasional manual payments through online banking * Preparing accruals and prepayments, and completing variance analysis to compare performance against plan * Producing comprehensive management information packs and head office submissions covering areas such as sales, margin, stock, debtors, and working capital * Reconciling balance sheets each month and maintaining supporting schedules for reporting purposes * Maintaining planning and forecasting models on a monthly basis to support the budgeting process * Assisting with vehicle fleet management, including fuel card administration, lease and insurance recharges, claims handling, and coordination of new or replacement vehicles * Overseeing mobile phone and load fleet records to ensure accurate cost allocation * Preparing annual budgets and balance sheet plans for relevant trading companies * Supporting the preparation of internal statutory accounts packs for group consolidation * Assisting with payroll processing and performing variance analysis * Supporting monthly internal control submissions and ad hoc finance projects as required Location / Office / Culture You’ll be based in the contemporary office based near Birmingham Airport, working on a hybrid basis with three days in the office and two from home.
