About the Role:
We're looking for a passionate and proactive Youth Worker to join our team and help create safe, inclusive, and inspiring spaces for young people aged 16-25, providing information, advice and guidance. Whether it's through creative workshops, 1:1s, schools support or simply being a trusted adult presence, you'll play a key role in supporting young people's personal, social, emotional development, mental health and will deliver informal education to grow the minds and attitudes of young people.
Key Responsibilities
· Build positive relationships with young people and act as a role model
· Plan and deliver engaging sessions, activities, or events tailored to their needs
· Provide informal education and support around issues such as mental health, relationships, identity, and wellbeing
· Work collaboratively with other staff, volunteers, and external partners
· Ensure safeguarding policies are followed and young people are supported appropriately
· Maintain accurate records and contribute to monitoring and evaluation
· Promote inclusion, respect, and diversity in all aspects of the work
What We're Looking For
· Experience working with young people in a paid or voluntary capacity
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to engage and motivate young people from diverse backgrounds
· Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection principles
· Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
· A relevant qualification in youth work, social work, education, or similar (desirable but not essential)
