HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER - TRUCK MOUNTED FORKLIFT OPERATOR
LOCATION: WORCESTERSHIRE
FULL-TIME PERMANENT - UP TO 50 HOURS PER WEEK
SALARY; £16.00-£20.00 PER HOUR
ON SITE OR YARD BASED
My client are a family-run business and one of the UK's leading marquee and temporary building suppliers, who are seeking a full-time HGV Class 1 Driver - Truck Mounted Forklift Operator to join their team operating out of their premises in Worcestershire. This role involves working with a great team, offering excellent rates of pay hourly with lots of potential for overtime.
Purpose of the Role
This is a hands-on role combining Class 1 driving with yard support, helping us deliver and collect marquees, flooring, and event structures to sites across the UK. The events industry is fast-paced and varied — no two days are the same — so we're looking for someone with a great attitude who's happy to get stuck in.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
Driving
Drive Class 1 (C+E) vehicles to deliver and collect event equipment across the UK
Ensure loads are secure, safe, and delivered on time
Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects
Complete delivery notes / paperwork accurately
Represent the company professionally on-site Operational Support
Assist with loading/unloading vehicles
Help organise and maintain stock and equipment in the yard
Keep the yard clean, safe, and well organised
Support prep work so equipment is ready for upcoming jobs
Assist other teams when required Attitude & Behaviour
Hard‑working, reliable, and highly organised
Positive, professional, and respectful with colleagues and clients
Flexible approach to tasks, hours, and occasional weekend work
Committed to delivering high‑quality service and maintaining company standards Must have
Class 1 (C+E) licence
Ability to travel to various sites (regional and occasionally wider UK)
