Job overview
The Operational Support Base is the home of the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and our Special Operations Response Team Instructors (SORT) who provide the ambulance response to particularly hazardous or challenging incidents.
An opportunity has arisen for a full time Station Domestic/Cleaner within the HART Team working at our HART Base, Oakham Business Park, Mansfield. The successful applicant will be responsible for cleaning all areas of the base. With a flexible approach to both hours and duties, you must be reliable and have the ability to work without supervision. Flexibility is key in this role as you may also be required to or choose to work weekends and evenings. Relevant previous work experience would be an advantage but not essential.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will carry out domestic/station cleaning duties within the HART Base, Mansfield, ensuring appropriate cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained across the station. Individuals will be working to Infection Prevention Control Measures completing daily cleaning and completing the associated cleaning document and Safety is also to be maintained within the working environment.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Station Cleaning Schedule – The work methods and frequencies of cleaning are set out in the Station Cleaning Schedule and must be strictly adhered to,
ensuring standards of cleanliness are maintained.
Health and Safety – Ensure that Health and Safety requirements associated with the duties of the post are strictly adhered to.
Equipment – Ensure proper and effective use and cleanliness of cleaning
equipment and materials.

Experience
Essential criteria
1. Understanding of Health and safety matters
2. Physically fit and able
3. Experience of working without supervision.
4. Displays initiative and an ability to work without supervision.
Desirable criteria
5. Pervious work experience as a domestic cleaner.
6. Interest in East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust and understanding of the service.
