We are seeking a Specialist in Endodontics to join our supportive and collaborative Endodontic service on a part-time, fixed-term basis. Working closely with the Consultant in Endodontics and the wider multidisciplinary dental team, you will play a key role in delivering Tier 3 endodontic care, contributing to patient assessments, complex clinical treatments and referral triage. The role combines clinical expertise with teamwork and shared learning in a dynamic service environment.

Main duties of the job
* Undertake Tier 3 (Level 3) endodontic treatments and reviews, in line with agreed care pathways and under the guidance or prescription of the Consultant in Endodontics
* Carry out new patient consultations, providing person‑centred, evidence‑based care
* Triage and assess referrals, accepting patients who meet national Tier 3 endodontic commissioning criteria
* Work collaboratively with colleagues across the dental service to deliver safe, effective and timely care
* Contribute to a positive team culture, supporting service development, shared learning and continuous improvement
* Maintain clear, accurate clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards

Qualifications
* Full registration with the GDC
* Primary dental qualification (BDS or equivalent)
* Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development

Experience
* Experience and/or training demonstrating competence equivalent to completion of specialist training in Endodontics
* Substantial experience in the clinical management of a range of Tier 3 endodontic case
* Experience in community or specialist dental services
Skills
* Experience in teaching, training and/or clinical supervision
* Participation in audit and quality improvement activities
* Ability to critically appraise scientific literature
* Experience contributing to the management or coordination of staff or clinical teams
* Commitment to maintaining up to date knowledge of dental techniques and materials
