Role Description
This is a full-time role, with our offices located in Wallingford (also includes remote working), for a Mechanical Estimator specializing in high-end residential projects. Responsibilities include preparing accurate tender submissions, analysing project requirements including assessing mechanical engineering designs.
Main Responsibilitiess
* Prepare tenders for mechanical works across domestic, high-end residential, commercial, and industrial projects, incorporating specialised services such as Heating, Ventilation, Domestic Systems, and Refrigeration.
* Ensuring mechanical tenders are accurate and compliant before submission.
* Oversee pre-tender processes, including takeoffs and quote procurement, collaborating with colleagues to facilitate these tasks.
* Utilise Google Office Suite proficiently.
* Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all mechanical services to provide accurate tender pricing.
* Acquire extensive knowledge of specialist services, including ductwork and refrigeration, to ensure precise tender pricing.
* Familiarise yourself with estimation software, specifically Simpro and Groundplan, to utilise all available functions effectively.
* Ensure timely delivery of tenders to clients, maintaining a professional and clear standard.
* Adhere to the company's health and safety policies and procedures.
* Foster professionalism and strong relationships with colleagues.
