Salary: Starting at £25,563.20, with potential earnings up to £32,283.20 through sleep-in shifts.
Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a dynamic and inspirational Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our dedicated team at Bayview. You will be working in a warm, family-oriented environment, supporting a maximum of four young people aged 8-18 in our homes located in Heysham or rural North Lancaster.
In this role, you will guide young individuals facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, helping them thrive in a safe and nurturing environment. Our homes are rated 'Outstanding' or 'Good' by Ofsted, and we need passionate individuals to help us maintain and elevate our high standards.
Your Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional childcare and support as a Key Worker, exceeding Ofsted's National Standards.
* Enhance the lives of young residents through purposeful engagement and care.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with families, friends, and external partners.
* Foster a culture of trust and respect among children and staff.
Childcare Provision
* Develop high-quality care plans tailored to each young person.
* Adhere to all legal requirements, Ofsted standards, and Bay View policies.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and secure home environment.
* Build trusting relationships with children, understanding their unique backgrounds and needs.
* Engage proactively with children, creating an inclusive atmosphere where they feel at home.
* Supervise and ensure the safety of children, addressing any signs of distress or conflict.
* Participate actively in activities, fostering a sense of belonging and personal growth.
Requirements
* Commitment to obtaining a Diploma Level 3 in Working with Children & Young People or Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner Apprenticeship within 2 years.
* A full UK driving license is essential.
