Our Finance Manager role provides an excellent opportunity for hands on involvement in the full range of financial processes and reporting carried out within the organisation; it offers both breadth and depth of experience within an organisation that is passionate about delivering for the Cairngorms National Park.
You will manage financial support services to all funded projects, and help provide an excellent financial management and accounting service to the Park Authority. This includes the management of key finance systems, such as: creditor payments, debtor management, nominal ledger, budgeting, cash flow management, and the development and maintenance of financial regulations and internal controls.
The functions of the role are fulfilled by two post holders who collaborate to provide robust and resilient service to the Park Authority. The full list of responsibilities will typically be divided between both post holders and some of the key responsibilities for this particular post holder are to lead our financial support for delivery of the £42 million Cairngorms 2030 programme, manage the payroll and pensions function which is carried out by the payroll and finance team, and to line manage our finance team. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone wishing to further their career in finance, offering a broad range of work experience together with line management of a small, enthusiastic team.
We are seeking applicants who are either fully qualified (accountant/CCAB professional accountancy qualification), or part qualified with relevant experience. You will also have demonstrable aptitude to deliver payroll and pensions services, and to provide line management of staff.
