The Role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Insurance Advisor to join our growing team in Rotherham. This is a specialist role for a detail-oriented professional with at least two years of experience. You will be responsible for ensuring that our mortgage clients have robust protection in place, providing expert advice on products that safeguard their homes and families. You will work closely with our mortgage/secured loan advisory team to provide a seamless, holistic service. Key Responsibilities Provide expert advice on mortgage-related protection products, including Life Cover, Critical Illness, Income Protection, Accident, Sickness & Unemployment and Private Medical Insurance. Conduct thorough fact-finds/Take Medical Questions to assess client needs and recommend tailored insurance solutions that align with their mortgage commitments. Manage the end-to-end insurance application process, liaising with major providers to ensure smooth underwriting and timely policy inception. Work proactively with the mortgage team to identify protection gaps and provide comprehensive advice to both new and existing clients. Maintain accurate and detailed records on our CRM, ensuring all client progress is documented and tracked. Ensure all advice and documentation are strictly compliant with FCA regulations and company quality standards. Manage a pipeline of protection business, following up on outstanding requirements from providers and clients to facilitate completions. Handle client renewals and reviews, providing ongoing support and maintaining long-term relationships. About You Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Insurance/Protection Advisor Proven track record of providing high-quality protection advice and meeting performance targets. Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., Cert CII, RO5, or CeMAP) are highly desirable. In-depth knowledge of the UK protection market, provider platforms, and FCA regulatory requirements. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex insurance concepts clearly to clients. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high compliance scores. Self-motivated and capable of managing a high volume of cases independently. Proficient in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
