The Production Manager is ultimately responsible for leading and directing manufacturing activities under their responsibility, ensuring an agreed plan is executed that then delivers products meeting Quality, Cost and Supply requirements. In doing this, the Production Manager will foster a culture of genuine engagement and continuous improvement, together working in a safe, compliant, effective and efficient operation, whilst collaborating with all support functions to ensure delivery of the manufacturing objectives. Key responsibilities… Own the day-to-day outcomes and performance of a key component of the Wrexham site. Working with all functions, for the area owned, develop plans and strategies that meet the future needs of the business. Influence SLT & key corporate stakeholders as required. Own the departmental budget and manage departmental expenditure to deliver agreed business objectives within the defined budget. Working with all functions, in particular Planning and Supply Chain, develop an agreed operational plan (including development / NPI batches), via the Site S&OP process and deliver on commitments. Ensure EHS obligations are met within the Production facility, in accordance with EHS policies and procedures To ensure all relevant c-GMP documentation is compliant, accurate, easy to understand and followed, with KPI's in place to track RFT performance and improvement plans. All production activities are appropriately recorded and that all deviations or incidents are reported, investigated and resolved in a timely fashion, to prevent reoccurrence and facilitate batch dispositioning. Working closely with Engineering & utilising good planning techniques, ensure all PPM's, calibration and validation activities are executed to schedule. Lead and manage the Production Team, ensuring performance appraisals are carried out for all team members and that both good and poor performance are appropriately managed. Building a Production team of the future which is cross functional, agile and able to operate in other Production facilities across the Wrexham site. To identify training needs for the team, ensure appropriate training takes place to provide a competent and motivated team. Utilising Visual Management, ensure effective communication of business objectives, KPIs and facility performance is actively captured and utilised for the purpose of decision making to achieve the business objectives. Lead regulatory audits and responses, working with the Site regulatory team to understand and manage present and upcoming changes in regulations to ensure continued Production activities Provide dedicated technical expertise to support the Manufacturing function in Managing Unplanned events, deliver Integrated projects and Efficiency projects to provide opportunities to Fuel the Future.
