Graduate Geoenvironmental EngineerLocation: StockportSalary: £27,000 - £30,000 + Benefits
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Geoenvironmental Engineer to join a well-established environmental and geotechnical consultancy based in Stockport. This role offers excellent training, mentorship, and career progression opportunities for a recent graduate looking to develop a successful career within the geoenvironmental sector.
The successful candidate will work on a wide variety of residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects across the UK, gaining hands-on experience in both site and office-based activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting with Phase 1 Desk Studies and Preliminary Risk Assessments.
* Supporting and supervising ground investigations.
* Soil and groundwater sampling in accordance with current guidance and standards.
* Logging soil and rock samples to relevant British Standards.
* Assisting with the preparation of factual and interpretative reports.
* Monitoring remediation and validation works.
* Liaising with subcontractors, clients, and regulatory bodies.
* Supporting senior engineers and consultants on project delivery.
Requirements:
* Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Geoscience, Engineering Geology, Geoscience, or a related discipline.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Enthusiastic and proactive approach to learning.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Previous placement or internship experience within the geoenvironmental sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
