Applicants are invited for a Clinical Research Fellow position in Endocrinology at University College London Hospitals (UCLH). This role involves working with a dynamic clinical trial team dedicated to high-quality Phase I to III research studies. It offers an excellent opportunity for doctors seeking hands-on experience in clinical trials, with comprehensive training and mentorship provided within a leading NHS teaching hospital in Central London.
This non-training post is ideal for those interested in a research-focused career, including individuals exploring pharmaceutical medicine, trainees seeking protected research time and clinical trial exposure, or those considering a non-traditional career path inside and outside the NHS.
The successful applicant will be part of a supportive, research-active team, collaborating with pharmaceutical sponsors and the clinical trial unit.
Duration:
This is a fixed-term 24-month full-time position with a six-month probation period, starting from October 2025. NB: Non-UK trained doctors must be GMC registered by the date of appointment.
Applicants enrolled in a training program will need to apply for Out of Programme Experience (OOPE) if selected. IMT trainees are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Serve as a sub-investigator (Sub-I) on clinical trials.
2. Support the Principal Investigator (PI) and research team, including research nurses and coordinators.
3. Assist with patient recruitment, consent, and adherence to trial protocols.
4. Address patient queries related to clinical trials.
5. Contribute to data collection, analysis, and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
6. Ensure adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and participate in clinical trial governance.
