About the Role
This team acts as a centre of excellence across regulatory capital, prudential regulation, and derivatives frameworks, supporting major banks and investment firms as they navigate complex regulatory change and strategic transactions.
You will work on high-impact engagements, helping clients respond to evolving regulatory requirements, optimise their structures, and deliver large-scale transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead client engagements, managing delivery, timelines, and quality of outputs
* Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor
* Provide subject matter expertise across regulatory capital, risk, and structuring topics
* Oversee and contribute to high-quality deliverables, including regulatory assessments and strategic recommendations
* Support mergers & acquisitions activity, including regulatory due diligence and Day 1 planning
* Contribute to business development by supporting proposals and identifying new opportunities
* Mentor and develop junior team members
* Support internal initiatives including methodology development and knowledge sharing
What You’ll Work On:
* Implementation of regulatory reforms (e.g. Basel 3.1, CRD VI)
* Regulatory compliance and supervisory engagement
* Legal entity restructuring and corporate reorganisation
* Regulatory aspects of M&A transactions
* Derivatives regulation (e.g. EMIR, SEC/CFTC regimes)
* ICAAP, ICARA and wind-down planning
Skills & Experience Required:
* Strong understanding of front office activities and associated risk frameworks
* Experience in advisory, consulting, or project delivery within capital markets or financial services
* Knowledge of regulatory environments and prudential risk management
* Proven project management experience, including managing workstreams and stakeholders
* Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex data
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
* Experience working on complex transformation or regulatory programmes
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
* A collaborative mindset and experience mentoring junior team members
