THE C4 APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME
If you are looking for an opportunity to gain work experience and a qualification, then an apprenticeship at Channel 4 might be for you.
Our Apprenticeships are full-time, with four days per week spent working in a C4 department and one day per week completing the formal learning parts of the apprenticeship. You’ll spend 60% of your working week in your office base and 40% working from home.
The formal training provided will consist of workshops, tutorials, webinars, coaching and in some cases residential boot camps. You can read more about the qualification being offered for this apprenticeship below.

AM I ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?
1. You must be 18 years old or over at the time the scheme starts to apply. There is no upper age limit.
2. You’ll need to have a Grade C (4) or above in Maths & English GCSE
3. You can’t have already completed the qualification being offered or similar at the same or higher level

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Sustainability at Channel 4 involves developing strategies to reduce emissions in line with our science-based emission reduction targets. We work across internal stakeholders to implement and monitor sustainability activities and collaboratively with the wider industry to build best practice into operations. The Sustainability team sits within the Nations and Regions department, based in the Leeds head office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
5. Support the business to ensure legal sustainability compliance
6. Collaborate with Sustainability team in the setting of sustainability KPIs
7. Assist with environmental data and monitor the sustainability performance of own business and suppliers
8. Review sustainability management information, and advise the company on performance, impacts, business risk and appropriate response
9. Assist with implementing an auditing programme for key sustainability metrics and programmes
10. Work closely with Senior Sustainability Manager, PMO Sustainability and Sustainable Production Executive to ensure our sustainability goals are met
11. Assist with training staff on sustainability principles, legislation, risks and opportunities
12. Collaborate with wider teams on the corporate social responsibility agenda, maintaining regular and effective communication with colleagues throughout the wider business on sustainability best practice
13. Help the Sustainability team to identify future trends, technologies, innovations and best practice
14. Contribute to Sustainability working group programmes across the business

17. Organisation skills and ability to prioritise tasks - e.g. Planning events whether personal or for professional purposes, as well as managing work life balance, for example working whilst doing coursework/exams.
