The Role As a Senior Property Finance Lawyer, you will manage your own caseload of property finance transactions, acting primarily for lenders, banks, and financial institutions. You'll handle a diverse range of property finance matters including commercial mortgages, development finance, investment finance, and refinancing transactions. The role offers genuine progression opportunities and the chance to work with established finance clients whilst also contributing to business development. You'll have the autonomy to run your matters whilst also providing supervision and guidance to junior team members. Your key responsibilities will include: Managing a caseload of property finance transactions from instruction through to completion Advising lenders and financial institutions on secured lending, commercial mortgages, and property finance facilities Drafting and negotiating facility agreements, loan documentation, and security documents Taking and perfecting security over commercial and residential investment properties Advising on development finance, bridging finance, and investment property finance Conducting due diligence on property titles, reviewing security packages, and advising on perfection of security Handling refinancing transactions and portfolio lending matters Advising on intercreditor arrangements and subordination agreements Building and maintaining strong relationships with finance clients Contributing to business development and the growth of the property finance practice Providing commercially focused and pragmatic advice to clients Supervising and mentoring junior solicitors and paralegals Working collaboratively with colleagues across the finance and property teams Meeting financial targets and managing matters profitably About You Essential Requirements: 5 years' PQE experience in property finance, real estate finance, or secured lending Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales Proven experience advising lenders on property finance facilities and security arrangements Strong technical knowledge of property finance, secured lending, and security documentation Experience drafting and negotiating facility agreements, loan documents, and legal charges Excellent understanding of security perfection, land registration, and priority of charges Strong property law knowledge including title investigation and due diligence Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously Excellent client care skills and ability to build and maintain strong relationships Commercially focused with a pragmatic approach to transactions Strong communication, drafting, and negotiation skills Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Highly Desirable: Experience acting for banks, challenger banks, or alternative lenders Knowledge of development finance and construction-related security Experience with portfolio lending and refinancing transactions Experience with bridging finance and short-term lending Supervisory or mentoring experience Business development experience and existing client relationships Experience working in a collaborative team environment Key Attributes: Experienced and enthusiastic with a proactive approach Friendly, welcoming, and hard-working Strong work ethic with commitment to delivering high-quality work Commercially astute with strong problem-solving abilities Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment Target-driven with a focus on achieving financial objectives Eager to contribute to the growth and development of the practice What's On Offer Our client is committed to rewarding talent and hard work with a competitive remuneration package and excellent opportunities for career progression.
