About the role
Come and join the Neurology Out‑Pt team providing specialist intervention in a community setting within an MDT. You will work within a larger team that covers Amber Valley & Erewash. This is an exciting time for the wider stroke‑neuro service as we progress with developing our services across the county. We are a friendly and supportive team always striving to improve care for our patients.
We are a sponsor licence holder and can provide sponsorship to overseas nationals via the Skilled Worker route, but we do not believe this position meets the requirements for sponsorship. For details on eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa, please visit the gov.uk website.
Are you a skilled Occupational Therapist, committed and interested in rehabilitation for stroke and neurology patients? Would you like to be part of a strong and developing service committed to providing the best care to the people of the Amber Valley and Erewash in Derbyshire? Do you want to be part of a team that can offer support, a neurology network, in‑service training and strong supervision? THEN, WE ARE THE SERVICE FOR YOU.
Our team focuses on the rehabilitation of patients with stroke and neurological long‑term conditions, and it is essential that you have a keen interest and some experience in this field. You will have excellent communication and problem‑solving skills and the ability to plan and organise competent, evidence‑based clinical care. We will provide you with a supportive environment to develop your skills and experience. Our evolving service has a strong emphasis on high quality, evidence‑based care, teamwork and staff well‑being.
We welcome applications from those already at Band 6 and also current Band 5 OTs with relevant experience, knowledge and skills who are looking to develop into a Band 6 role. You will be mostly based in an out‑pt department but there may be times when you need to be able to visit a patient's home or travel to a different site. Being able to drive and have access to a car is essential.
