We're seeking
OpenShift-focused Site Reliability Engineers (SREs)
at multiple levels to support a major programme in the
Critical National Infrastructure (CNI)
sector. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-impact platform ensuring scalability, reliability, and security for essential systems. You'll be part of a cross-functional engineering team, working with cutting-edge cloud-native technologies to automate, monitor, and optimize complex OpenShift environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate within
Agile teams
to drive automation, deployment, and infrastructure management.
* Ensure
high availability, performance, and compliance
of platforms and business-critical applications.
* Implement and manage
observability stacks
(Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo).
* Develop
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
using
Helm
or
Kustomize
.
* Build and maintain
CI/CD pipelines
using
Tekton
and
ArgoCD
.
* Support and troubleshoot
OpenShift Operators
(ServiceMesh, ODF, ACS, ACM, AMQ).
* Conduct
security reviews
and apply controls aligned with national infrastructure standards.
* Mentor team members and promote
SRE best practices
across teams.
* Work closely with vendors and internal IT teams to resolve incidents and improve platform reliability.
What You'll Bring
* Hands-on OpenShift and Kubernetes expertise
(essential).
* Strong experience with
Red Hat Linux
environments.
* Scripting and automation
skills (Bash, Python).
* Proficiency in
Helm
,
Kustomize
, and IaC practices.
* Proven experience with
CI/CD pipelines
and
GitOps
tooling.
* Solid understanding of
security and compliance
in regulated environments.
* Experience with
VMware vSphere
and hybrid infrastructure setups.
* Excellent communication skills and experience working with
distributed teams
