You’ll work with the team to deliver high quality support and accommodation to people fleeing domestic abuse, including their children. You will be the first point of contact for external enquiries, referrals, admissions, and residents in the refuge accommodation.
Job Responsibilities
1. Ensure customers feel welcome upon move-in and are fully informed of available support and their responsibilities.
2. Provide practical and emotional support focused on the customer’s needs.
3. Manage referrals, conduct risk assessments, and assign accommodation accordingly.
4. Maintain safety and risk management plans, ensuring safety for customers and their families, with accurate record-keeping.
5. Serve as the first point of contact at the refuge, responding to issues or emergencies.
6. Assess risk or safeguarding concerns and respond appropriately, recording incidents properly.
7. Assist the team in meeting room turnover targets to prepare for new residents.
Qualifications and Skills
* Minimum GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
* Proficient in ICT and Microsoft Office.
* Experience handling personal data in line with GDPR.
* Genuine understanding of people in abusive relationships, with excellent communication skills.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly.
* Ability to work independently and remotely, managing time effectively and meeting deadlines.

* DBS check clearance.
