Responsible For:
To work alongside the prison team in all aspects of Sussex Pathways work, working with men and women in prison and returning to Sussex or who are already in the Community.
This will include supporting the Project Manger and Prison Coordinator with raising Sussex Pathways profile within Prison’s, working closely with offender management unit Prison’s, and Probation services in the community. generating referrals and case work related to this area.
Supporting the Project manager with collating data relating to regular requested reports and progress updates.
Supporting the Project manager with taking referrals and completing Assessments and Risk assessments when required.
Purpose of Role
The Delivery Officer will be responsible for supporting the Project manager on the day to day running of the service, delivering case work to clients & supporting the volunteer team.
They will support the Project manager and Project Coordinator in developing the services.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
* When required, to work with referring agencies to identify potential clients prior to their release from prison / or from within the community.
* To build up a folder of professional contacts from partner agencies that work with the client group.
* To work flexibly with referred clients, providing tailored case working support.
* To conduct 3-way handovers, with clients and VKWs when required.
* To make contact and engage with clients prior to their release from custody, working on release planning.
* To provide gate meets/ and day of release meets when required with clients.
* To undertake and support Volunteers to promote strong assessments of client needs and identify opportunities to motivate the client to engage with the project support and resources.
* To support volunteers on complex cases, co – working cases, when required.
* To undertake assessments in line with the new Delivery Model for all clients.
* To work with the Administrator Manger and COO to ensure that Lamplight is regularly updated, and data is available at the request of the CEO.
* To co-ordinate available resources in external agencies, researching and negotiating additional support to enhance the project.
* To support volunteers in meeting their client at the prison gate and to accompany them to their accommodation, ensuring that they have support contact details and other relevant information to help them towards social integration.
* When required, to support the recruitment of volunteers and to offer robust inductions to all volunteers and develop regular training sessions either in-house or with partner agencies to encourage volunteer development.
* Maintain good volunteer, caseload, and outcome records, to include Lamplight and share point spreadsheets.
* Work with the project manager in offering regular supervision to volunteers and attending regular supervision with the project manager.
* You must be prepared to work flexibly and independently within the working week.
* To include taking the lead on quarterly volunteer Support meetings when necessary.
* To attend IOM and Multi-Agency meetings ensuring updates and reports are uploaded onto Lamplight.
* To support the Training of Volunteers when required.
· Delivering the Activities in Trauma-Informed practice and using Trauma-Responsive Approaches.
· Delivering the Activities in male-only groups and/or with the option for a male Staff Personnel.
· Delivering the Activities in a physical space that is suitable for vulnerable male Service Users.
· Ensuring Activities are strength-based and encourage male Service Users to build and develop transferrable skills.

· Attend regular CPD Training courses
· Travel to other prisons in different counties.
* Undertake such other duties as reasonably requested by your line manager.
