Basic Salary: £27,000–£33,500 (depending on experience)
Realistic First-Year OTE: £45,000–£55,000+ (uncapped commission)

The Role
As a Business Development Consultant, you’ll play a key role in driving new business growth by building strong relationships with schools, academies, and trusts. This is a front-facing, sales-focused role where you’ll have clear ownership of new business activity, performance, and results.
Working closely with the recruitment team, you’ll help ensure every new partnership is supported by a high-quality, consistent service, laying the foundations for long-term, trusted relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:

Proactively identifying, targeting, and winning new school and trust partnerships

Building strong relationships through meetings, visits, and ongoing engagement
*
Managing the full sales cycle from initial contact through to agreement and onboarding
*
Representing Heart of Supply professionally in the local education market
*
Working collaboratively with consultants to ensure smooth handover and delivery
*
Maintaining accurate records of activity, pipelines, and outcomes
*
Contributing ideas and insight to support wider business growth and strategy

Proven business development or sales experience (recruitment, education, B2B, or service-led sales)

Confidence opening new conversations and building relationships from scratch
*
A consultative, professional approach to sales

Strong organisation and pipeline management skills

Resilience, drive, and the ability to stay focused on long-term goals

Excellent communication and presentation skills
*
A full UK driving licence (regular school visits across Lincolnshire)
While experience in education recruitment is an advantage, it’s not essential. We’re looking for someone with passion, confidence, and a natural ability to build lasting relationships.
