Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Reading
Salary: Competitive
Hours: 41
Minimum Requirements: proven delivery of £6m+ high-end construction projects, full control of programme. Strong commercial, contractual, and leadership capability, with planning skills and a track record of excellence in design-led environments.

As a leader in high-end construction, heritage conservation and specialist crafts in London and the South of England, we take pride in working on Britain's finest private residences, luxury hotels and most cherished historic architecture. We believe our people are our greatest asset, as it's their dedication to excellence that has been the foundation for our outstanding reputation.

We're appointing a Project Manager to lead the delivery of a £8m+ high-end building project from preconstruction to handover. You'll bring commercial precision, firm programme control and decisive leadership to ensure a complex, design led scheme is delivered safely, on time and to the highest standard.

Just some of the responsibilities we'll trust you with

* You'll lead complex, high value construction projects from first conversations through to final handover and beyond, shaping every stage of the journey and setting the standard from day one.
* You'll create the strategy, set the tone and build the culture on your projects, driving momentum while ensuring commercial, contractual, quality, SHE and programme goals are not just met, but exceeded.
* You'll bring together multidisciplinary teams, supply chain partners, consultants and subcontractors, aligning everyone behind a shared vision and delivering outcomes we're proud to stand behind.
* You'll own the programme from the ground up, developing detailed plans, managing the critical path and staying ahead of change to keep projects moving with clarity and control.
* You'll work hand in hand with the commercial team to safeguard margin, manage risk and unlock opportunity, keeping a sharp eye on performance without losing sight of the bigger picture.
* You'll act as a trusted senior representative of the business, building strong client relationships, inspiring confidence and protecting the reputation we've worked hard to earn.

Where you'll be based

You'll join our Central Region team, delivering a wide ranging portfolio of high value country projects, from £500k to £100m. Our work spans Grade I and II Listed buildings, extensive refurbishments, contemporary new builds, sporting estates, boutique hotels, and grand manor houses, each requiring exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship.

You'll be based on-site at one of our prestigious projects, joining a warm, professional team that takes pride in craftsmanship and detail.

Some of the rewards of working with us

* Grow your skills and your career with access to full training and development programmes designed to help you reach your full potential.
* Be part of an inclusive workplace where everyone is respected, valued, and encouraged to share ideas and make a real impact.
* Enjoy a comprehensive rewards package including a competitive salary, company pension, sick pay, life cover, enhanced maternity/paternity pay, and long service recognition.
* Earn more time off with a holiday allowance that increases with your length of service – plus all bank holidays.
* Save on everyday essentials with exclusive discounts at leading retailers and supermarkets.
* Get 24/7 support through our Employee Assistance Programme, offering expert advice, counselling, and practical help whenever you need it.
* Enjoy a restful holiday break—we close during the Christmas period, giving you the chance to relax over the festive season
* We prioritise your wellbeing with our healthcare programmes, annual flu vaccines, and for those who will benefit, a personalised menopause plan.

The areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role

* You'll bring deep experience delivering complex construction projects, typically in the £6m to £12m range, and feel confident operating in fast paced, commercially demanding environments.
* You'll have a strong command of project programming and planning methodologies, using industry standard tools such as Power Project to create clarity, structure and forward momentum.
* You'll understand JCT contracts inside out, with the commercial awareness to manage change, navigate claims and mitigate risk with confidence and professionalism.
* You'll be a natural leader who sets high standards, develops people around you and builds motivated, high performing teams that take pride in their work.
* You'll bring solid SHE, quality and compliance knowledge, embedding best practice on site and creating environments where safety and excellence are never compromised.
* You'll combine contemporary thinking with a strong grounding in traditional construction, bringing experience across technically challenging and design led projects.
