SEN Teaching Assistant – Redhill

Are you a compassionate, enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners?
A warm and supportive specialist school in Reigate is looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. The school supports children aged 2–11 with a range of complex learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Conditions, communication difficulties, and developmental delays.
You’ll be part of a collaborative staff team who value inclusion, personalised learning, and building strong, trusting relationships with pupils and their families.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Supporting pupils with additional needs both in the classroom and throughout wider school activities.
2. Working closely with class teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver targeted interventions.
3. Encouraging engagement, boosting confidence, and helping pupils develop independence.
4. Assisting with personal care and sensory needs when required.
5. Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive.
What we’re looking for:
6. Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (ideally within a school or specialist setting).
7. A patient, calm, and adaptable approach to meeting individual needs.
8. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
9. A genuine passion for helping children with additional needs reach their potential.
10. An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Horizon Teachers.
