As a Chef De Partie for Sodexo, you'll be an integral part of our kitchen team, reporting directly to the Head Chef. You will take charge of your section, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation. Your culinary expertise will contribute to creating seasonal, balanced menus that cater to a diverse range of dietary requirements.
1. Assist in all aspects of the preparation of daily food production and presentation of food to the notified standard.
2. Prepare all food with due care and attention, particularly regarding customers' special dietary requirements, such as dairy or wheat allergies.
3. Assist with replenishing food supplies to ensure continuous service.
4. Comply with statutory and company requirements.
5. Assist with hygienic cleaning of the kitchen to meet all Health and Safety regulations.
6. Implement cleaning schedules to maintain standards.
7. Promote friendly working relationships with colleagues.
8. Provide excellent customer service to promote a positive company image.
9. Assist with setting up, presenting, and executing catering functions.
10. Perform occasional duties outside normal routines within the scope of the position, including assisting with paperwork like stock ordering and contributing ideas for future menus.
11. Support at special functions, which may occur outside normal hours, paid as overtime.
Requirements:
* Experience cooking on a large scale (100-1300 students).
* Ability to follow recipes in a professional kitchen.
* Experience in a similar role within the service industry.
* Attention to detail and adherence to standards.
* Analytical problem-solving skills and innovative thinking.
* Basic Food Hygiene and Health and Safety Certificates.
Desirable:
* Experience managing client relationships.
* Proven leadership and team development skills.
* Working knowledge of pastry.
