Are you passionate about early childhood education? A welcoming nursery in the Bristol area is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.
đ About the Role
As a Nursery Assistant, youâll play a key role in supporting the daily care, learning, and development of young children in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. You'll assist with routines, lead play-based learning activities, and work closely with staff and families to support each childâs individual needs.
đ Responsibilities
* Supervise and ensure the safety and wellbeing of children at all times
* Support childrenâs development through play, stories, and age-appropriate learning activities
* Assist with planning and delivering engaging activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development
* Help with daily routines including feeding, changing nappies, and toileting
* Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized learning space
* Observe and record children's progress, sharing insights with senior staff and parents
* Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and the wider nursery team
* Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction
* Follow all safeguarding and health & safety procedures
* Assist with setting up and tidying away resources and play areas
* Take part in staff meetings and relevant training opportunities
