Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a Salford secondary school in search of an enthusiastic HLTA to support an established and dedicated team of staff. This is a full-time position, working within school hours, starting in September 2026.
This secondary school takes pride in creating a supportive, happy, and secure environment that nurtures the development and success of its pupils. As a HLTA, you will play a vital role in delivering effective one-to-one support as well as assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery.
Role OverviewAs an HLTA, you will support teaching and learning across the school. Your key duties will include:
Delivering targeted interventions and one-to-one support for studentsSupporting the class teacher with lesson preparation and deliveryManaging behaviour in line with school policiesAssisting with the academic, social, and emotional development of pupilsHelping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Candidate RequirementsWe are looking for individuals who can demonstrate:
A recognised HLTA Level 4 qualificationExperience working with children in an educational settingStrong communication and interpersonal skillsA proactive and supportive approach to learningAn enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
