Their expertise spans static and dynamic testing, including fatigue testing systems, hardness testing systems. These solutions are utilized across more than 20 industries for research & development and quality assurance purposes. The role The role of Area Sales Manager will report directly to the UK & Ireland Sales Manager. They will be a key part of the Sales Team with support locally and at HQ in Germany. Typical markets include Academia, Metals, Polymers, Automotive, Aerospace & Defence & Medical amongst many more. The ideal candidate is a consultative technology enthusiast, able to listen and communicate to ensure the correct solution, both technically and commercially is provided to fulfil the customers’ requirements. The successful person will be highly motivated and wanting to succeed in a very rewarding sector. Key results you will be responsible for: • Customer Engagement and Sales Development: Manage a mix of new business development and existing account management through regular meetings (in-person, virtual, phone, and email) to achieve sales targets and build customer relationships. • Technical Consultation and Presentations: Deliver tailored technical presentations and collaborate with specialists to propose the best technical and commercial solutions for customer needs, including arranging product demonstrations. • Sales Process Management: Support the preparation of technical sales quotes, ensure timely customer discussions, and maintain accurate records in the CRM system while adhering to internal protocols. • Marketing and Networking: Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and seminars to promote products, strengthen branding, and expand the customer network. What you will bring to the role: • Ideally Degree qualified in engineering with a mechanical element. Materials science related subjects are advantageous, but not necessary. Previous technical experience also considered. • Minimum 3 years’ consultative sales experience, ideally selling Capex technical products. • Effective natural communication skills, both verbal and written and able to adapt these to suit the situation and task, both internally and direct with customers. • Willing and able to travel, mainly in the sales area, but also to Germany and Austria
