Site Assistant

Uppingham Community College
Salary: Grade 3 Pay Point 5-6 (£25,583 - £25,989 per annum, approximate starting salary of £24,200 )

Hours: Part-time, 35 hours per week

Monday to Friday - 10:30am to 6:00pm
Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: 52 weeks per year


About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Site Assistant to be a proactive integrated member of the School Staff Team, to support the day to day running of our site and the maintenance and security of our buildings.


Key Responsibilities

* Assist the Site Manager and Site Technicians in ensuring a safe and secure physical environment to support the educational objectives of the College.
* Maintain the College buildings and grounds in excellent repair, including structure, fabric and finishes.
* Ensure the site is secure, safe, clean and welcoming for staff, pupils, visitors and lettings users.

Qualifications

* Willingness to undertake further training, including health & safety, fire safety and safeguarding.


Experience

* Previous experience in a site, cleaning, caretaking, maintenance or facilities role, ideally within a school or similar environment (desirable).
