This role sits as second in command to the Director of AI Solutions and plays a central role in shaping, delivering and scaling the AI practice. Key responsibilities
* Act as deputy to the Director of AI Solutions, supporting the vision, strategy and execution of the AI practice
* Lead the design and delivery of enterprise scale AI solutions across AIOps, ITOM and ITSM
* Remain hands on with agentic AI, automation and orchestration frameworks
* Drive adoption of ITIL aligned best practices within AI enabled service environments
* Oversee integration of conversational AI and autonomous decision making solutions
* Provide technical leadership on infrastructure modernisation to support AI workloads and automation pipelines
* Work closely with vendors and strategic partners, maintaining deep platform and product understanding
* Lead, mentor and develop a small team of senior engineers and architects
* Engage senior stakeholders to align AI delivery with operational and business outcomes
Ideal experience
* Proven experience in senior technical leadership roles within AI, automation or IT operations
* Strong background across AIOps, ITOM, ITSM and ITIL based service models
* Hands on expertise in workflow orchestration, event driven automation and runbook as code
* Comfortable working with agentic AI models and autonomous systems in production environments
* Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, Argo or Prefect
* Strong knowledge of automation platforms like Ansible, Salt, Puppet or ServiceNow Flow Designer
* Understanding of message driven architectures such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
* Experience operating in enterprise environments with complex stakeholders and global delivery teams
