Role Responsibilities:
3 days per week to include every other weekend.
· To support the Unit in the effective running of the Hospital Services Framework. Supervising and motivating a team of staff associated with the provision of a cleaning and laundry service within Pirton Grange. To be involved with the day-to-day monitoring of cleaning deliveries into the Unit, to ensure the Unit has sufficient and suitable materials to enable effective operating standards to be achieved. To ensure all complaints are dealt with in line with the company’s internal policy and procedures documents.
14. · Daily cleaning of all areas of the establishment in accordance with the Units schedules and specifications, using appropriate equipment, chemicals and work methods.
15. · To ensure documentation duties and procedures are maintained for efficiency and accuracy i.e., cleaning schedules, stock control.
16. · To undertake laundry duties, including operation of the laundry equipment, this involves sorting, sluicing, washing, drying, ironing and storing.
17. · To undertake the cleaning of the client’s rooms including dusting as and when required (as per the cleaning schedule)
18. · To undertake the cleaning of the unit, this will involve use of electrical equipment e.g., vacuum cleaners, floor polishers and carpet cleaners.
19. · To ensure all equipment is maintained and cleaned in the appropriate manner. Report any maintenance problems to the Manager immediately after a problem occurs, keeping an accurate record.
20. · Ensure segregation and prompt removal of waste to designated collection points, in accordance with the Company’s Safe Waste Handling Procedures.
21. · To ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained across the establishment and to support the business function.
22. · The day-to-day supervision of all staff employed housekeeping personnel within the establishment. Allocating work to the team and to individuals, agreeing objectives and work plans. Assessing the performance of the teams and individuals and giving appropriate feedback to individuals and management.
23. · Carry out audits of the cleaning and laundry services in conjunction with the internal standards.
24. · To deal effectively and timely with all complaints, and ensure all parties are kept informed of action taken.
25. · To maintain an up to date COSHH register for all products used within the establishment
26. · To be actively involved with the estates department to attend the estates meetings as and when required.
27. · To liaise with the Health & Safety Manager on a regular basis
Previous experience of working in the cleaning sector or a secure environment is desirable
Health & Safety: All employees have a statutory duty of care for their own personal safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions.
Employees are required to co-operate with management to enable Iris Care Group to meet its own legal duties and to report any hazardous situations or defective equipment.
