Job description
We are seeking a commercially astute Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our expanding team. This role is ideal for someone who is focussed on driving new business opportunities and revenue. We’re seeking a BDM who ‘plays to win’.
The role will be focussed on securing new client wins within a highly competitive landscape. Who they are, how they act and how they carry themselves will be a key differentiator.
The BDM will focus their attention on building brand and individual awareness via being the go to person within their network for all things energy.
Responsibilities
Develop new business opportunities via a proactive go to market strategy, ensuring we focus on opportunities where we can add the most value within our ideal client profile
Manage the end-to-end sales cycle taking ownership of all stages
Leverage our in-house marketing capabilities to support their prospecting activity
Be able to present complex solutions in a simple and clear way. Ensuring that clients know they are in expert hands throughout.
Deliver on numbers – we want to be clear from the outset this role is about delivering!
Skills & Experience
3+ years experience within an energy supplier or TPI
Problem solving skills and the ability to think outside the box
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage your own workload and cope well under pressure
Proven track record of new business delivery
Self-Driven – Ability to own the number and deliver against it
Forward Thinking / Challenger – We want the BDM to make the role their own
Experience of delivering webinars, seminar and alike
