Job Description
West Dunbartonshire Council has an opportunity for a Governance & Reconciliation Team Leader to join our Finance team on a permanent basis.
The team manages the council’s bank accounts, signatories, BACS users, and controlled stationery. It also assists with statutory functions such as preparing VAT and CIS tax returns for HMRC, processing and payment of arrestments, and payroll deductions.
In this role, you will provide guidance and training to all council employees regarding statutory requirements related to VAT and CIS, and assist in completing VAT returns for the organization and other arm's length organizations.

Requirements
The preferred candidate will need to complete a Level 1 Disclosure check before a formal offer is made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
Responsibilities
The employment for which you are applying is exempt from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975.
