CK Group are recruiting for an Environmental Scientist to join our client, consultants in Damage Assessment & Business Recovery, in the damage management industry, at their site in Sheffield.
This is a permanent role with a salary of £30,000 to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. The role involves travel, so candidates must hold a full driving licence and have access to a car.
The Company:
Our clients are independent consultants specializing in damage assessment and business recovery. They provide scientifically and technically supported advice on complex losses in both commercial and residential properties. They are a well-established, family-run business respected in the damage management industry.
Location:
Sheffield, with travel to other sites as required.
The Role:
* Analyzing test samples, including gravimetric moisture testing, ion chromatography, FT-Infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and DNA sequencing of biological samples.
* Collating analysis data.
* Preparing technical reports.
* Conducting site inspections and environmental test sampling.
* Performing technical surveying methods such as 360° photogrammetry and drone surveys.
Your Background:
* Degree in chemistry, environmental science, or related discipline.
* At least 3 years of experience in collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting on environmental samples.
* Organized, diligent, and able to record and report information accurately and efficiently.
* Process-driven with adherence to scientific methodologies.
* Experience with field and laboratory testing methodologies.
* Independent worker willing to balance laboratory work with client site sampling.
