Overview

We are seeking an experienced senior leader for our digital application analyst team. This team is dedicated to supporting and improving the Epic electronic health record and other clinical and administrative systems for the Trust. This role plays a critical role in the delivery of the Trust strategy through digital enablement, and ensuring that the Trust continues to be a digital exemplar and leader. This role requires in-depth specialist knowledge of the Epic system (including certification in the Epic system), experience with electronic patient records in the NHS, and demonstrated experience leading large teams to successfully deliver large scale change and maintenance of digital systems.

The role provides strategic leadership for the Trust's digital, data, and information agenda, ensuring that all digital programmes and systems support organisational priorities and deliver measurable benefits. It oversees the development, implementation, and optimisation of the Trust's digital systems--including the Epic EPR--while ensuring high-quality reporting, system resilience, and effective information services. The post holder leads on the creation of Trust-wide digital policies, contributes to national and international digital health initiatives, and represents the organisation across external forums and partnerships. They manage major digital transformation programmes, including procurement, business case development, service redesign, and collaboration with external NHS sites to support their EPR implementations. The role also provides senior leadership to the eHospital team, ensuring strong performance, professional development, and a culture of continuous improvement.


Responsibilities

* Provide strategic leadership for digital, data, and information agendas across the Trust.
* Oversee development, implementation, and optimisation of digital systems, including the Epic EPR.
* Ensure high-quality reporting, system resilience, and effective information services.
* Create Trust-wide digital policies and contribute to national/international digital health initiatives.
* Represent the organisation in external forums and partnerships.
* Manage major digital transformation programmes, including procurement, business case development, service redesign, and cross-site collaboration for EPR implementations.
* Provide senior leadership to the eHospital team with a focus on performance, professional development, and continuous improvement.


Qualifications

* In-depth specialist knowledge of the Epic system, including Epic certification.
* Experience with electronic patient records in the NHS.
* Proven experience leading large teams to deliver large-scale digital changes and maintain digital systems.
* Ability to align digital programmes with organisational priorities and deliver measurable benefits.
