Offer description

Staff Experience Advisor (Wellbeing Specialist)

At North West Ambulance Service, our people are there for others at their most vulnerable. This role is about being there for them. We are looking for a wellbeing professional who believes that staff experience matters, that healthy cultures do not happen by accident, and that meaningful support can shape how people feel, grow and thrive at work.

This is a rare opportunity to influence wellbeing across a large, diverse and operationally demanding NHS organisation. You will lead the development and delivery of evidence-based wellbeing initiatives, training, resources and interventions that support colleagues and managers alike. Working closely with the Staff Experience Advisor (Engagement Specialist), HR colleagues and operational leaders, you will use staff feedback, insight and data to shape priorities, strengthen manager capability and ensure our wellbeing offer continues to respond to the changing needs of our workforce.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone with credibility, strategic awareness and the confidence to turn ideas into action. You will need to build strong relationships, work across professional boundaries and influence at all levels, while keeping equality, inclusion and continuous improvement at the centre of your approach. This is a role for someone who understands both people and systems and wants to use that knowledge to create lasting change.

For the right person, this is more than a job. It is an opportunity to improve the working lives of the people behind one of the NHSs most vital services. If you are driven by purpose, care deeply about wellbeing and want to help shape a more supportive, inclusive and compassionate experience for those who dedicate their lives to helping others, this could be the role for you.

About us

Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed. We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.

Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.

We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
