The Gynae Care Suite in Withybush General Hospital, Haverfordwest are looking for a flexible Health Care Support Worker to join our small team.
We are a friendly small team with clinics consisting of Hysteroscopy, Nurse Led Pessary, general gynae clinics, early pregnancy and vulval/ Gynae clinics and post menopausal bleeding one stop clinic
We are looking for a team member to support the Nurses and Doctors and be a key member of the team to support our patients. The ability to work independently under the supervision of a qualified Nurses is a must.
We are looking for a flexible individual who can work allocated shifts during the week, times may range from 8am to 6.30pm on occasion.

Main duties of the job
Assist the Nurses and Doctors with procedures during clinics.
Support smooth running of multiple clinics
Act as chaperone during intimate procedures. Assist patients to maintain dignity and assist if required.
Carry out vital observations and calculate BMI.
Assist in Hysteroscopy ( will be trained to use equipment and recording results) This is part of the cancer pathway.
Administration duties, answering telephone, stock keeping and ordering.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Knowledge
* Level 3 qualification in a health care related subject Or Equivalent experience and can evidence work based competency demonstrating theoretical knowledge, and the ability to undertake clinical care duties relevant for the role which is gained through experience and worked based training/short courses
* Knowledge of the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Wales and All Wales Delegation Guidelines (HEIW)
* Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures within a healthcare setting for example the principles of Safeguarding adults/children to keep patients within their care safe, and confidentiality for example General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
Skills and Attributes
* Welsh Language (Level 1)
Experience
* Experience of working within a relevant heath or social care environment, providing direct patient care
* Experience of working with patient groups relevant to area of practice
* Experience of working within the NHS
