Description
Responsibilities:
1. Develops and manages multiple, complex information technology (IT) project plans and deliverables.
2. Provides input to determine complex project scope, schedule and budget baselines based on an understanding of the system development lifecycle.
3. Negotiates changes to project baselines.
4. Conducts design reviews.
5. Manages the incorporation of quality management systems for IT projects.
6. Monitors project deliverables to ensure compliance with quality standards.
7. Identifies and negotiates for necessary resources to meet project goals.
8. Develops and executes project communication plans.
9. Leads activities to identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
10. Identifies need for vendor-provided products and services.
11. Coordinates and oversees supplier activities.
12. Develops estimates and proposals for new business
Required Experience:
13. At least 8 years prior experience of Project Management is required and must include experience of delivering complex IT and Software projects.
14. The basic project management disciplines of planning, tasking, documentation, financial management and monitoring and controlling delivery should be second nature to you.
15. Extensive experience of managing relationships with external clients is essential.
16. Experience of working in the military domain is desirable.
17. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, including the ability to listen, understand, analyze and respond to customer concerns and have difficult conversations.
18. You will be an instinctive problem solver with highly developed risk management and mitigation skills
19. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required. This will typically include degree level education or equivalent, and a specific project management qualification or accreditation.
