Internal Sales Representative
We are currently seeking an internal sales representative to join our growing business. The role will be varied, focusing on both new and existing customers. You will work with a diverse customer base from owners to site contractors from our office in Bury. The ideal candidate will have phone-based selling skills to help grow our new business platform and develop into an external sales role within 2 years. We seek motivated individuals who can succeed by delivering results and developing internally.
Roxtec has created this role as a pathway to a full technical sales manager position after successful training, development, and achievement of sales targets. It is suitable for someone transitioning from a hands-on role to sales or with internal sales or commercial experience wishing to develop practical engineering skills for progression into technical sales.
The employee will develop new opportunities to specify Roxtec solutions on projects, working with owners, engineers, and installers in our application areas.
We aim to enhance our interactions with key stakeholders. The role involves investigating projects, promoting our solutions, handling client design requests for quotations, and delivering online support training for our value-added services and systems.
You will also provide advice on optimal installation approaches, utilizing our literature and product guides to ensure quality installations.
Job Description
* Focus on new business development with new and existing customers.
* Generate project specifications for our product lines with owners, operators, and engineers.
* Assist with sales at exhibitions and conferences when required.
* Research and approach potential clients and markets to expand business areas.
* Support external sales with installation training and quality assurance.
* Build relationships, identify new contacts, and explore new applications and projects.
* Drive sales growth by securing engineering specifications and providing support throughout project lifecycles.
* Promote Roxtec's core values within the company and industry.
* Manage customer contacts and meetings using our CRM system.
* Provide market insights, forecasts, and product planning information to management.
* Offer pre-sales technical advice and design input for bespoke products.
* Develop relationships with learning managers, organizing training and CPD programs.
Preferred Job Requirements
* University degree or equivalent; relevant industry experience may suffice without a degree.
* Successful sales experience, preferably in internal sales.
* Experience in sectors such as process engineering, power, renewable, nuclear, marine, rail, or infrastructure is advantageous.
* Knowledge of civil construction, electrical, controls, automation, or mechanical systems.
* Proven ability to manage complex sales projects.
* Ability to leverage industry news and project databases to identify opportunities.
* Experience supporting external sales roles as part of a team.
Basic Skills/Knowledge
* Successful track record in selling premium solutions via phone.
* Experience providing technical support internally and externally.
* Proven success in selling premium solutions against low-cost competitors.
* Desire or ability to pursue a technical sales role.
* Full UK driving license.
