Overview
We are working with a leading packaging manufacturer seeking an experienced General Manager to take full responsibility for their North East site. This is a senior leadership role, best suited to someone with a strong engineering background in manufacturing, proven site management or GM experience, and a track record within thermoforming and injection moulding.
🔧 The Role
* Lead day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across all manufacturing processes.
* Provide strong technical leadership, drawing on your background in engineering and plastics manufacturing.
* Oversee production, engineering, supply chain, and commercial functions at site level.
* Deliver continuous improvement and operational excellence in line with business objectives.
* Act as the key point of accountability for site performance, driving profitability and customer satisfaction.
👤 The Ideal Candidate
* Proven General Manager / Site Manager within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong engineering foundation/hands on experience and background - essential
* Experience in thermoforming and injection moulding is essential.
* Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and improve operational performance.
* Commercially astute with excellent leadership and communication skills.
