The Role
As Director, you’ll wear a few hats — leader, strategist, billing manager, mentor. You’ll help steer day-to-day operations and business strategy while continuing to work hands-on with clients and candidates. Crucially, you’ll take the lead in building, managing, and inspiring a high-performing recruitment team — drawing on your network, leadership experience, and industry know-how to scale with quality.
Whether you come from a strong billing background or have experience growing teams, you’ll be instrumental in driving sustainable growth, building brand reputation, and developing a supportive, performance-led culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Co-lead the business, working closely with the other Director on strategy, operations, and growth
* Build, lead, and nurture a high-performing team of recruiters across contract and perm desks
* Drive internal hiring — drawing on your network and connections to bring in top talent
* Mentor, coach, and support team members to meet performance goals and career development
* Personally manage client relationships and deliver into senior or strategic roles
* Oversee day-to-day operations, systems, and delivery processes
* Contribute to business development, marketing, partnerships, and branding initiatives
* Help shape and embed a strong company culture grounded in trust, autonomy, and accountability
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in a senior recruitment role (Manager/AD/Director) within an agency environment
* Strong background in tech or technical recruitment (contract and/or perm)
* Track record of building and leading teams, including hiring, onboarding, and performance management
* Experience leveraging personal networks and industry connections to drive business and internal growth
* Commercially astute with excellent relationship-building skills
* Hands-on leader who’s just as comfortable rolling up sleeves as setting vision
