Personal Development Tutor (Care Experienced Young People Designated Teacher) – Permanent/part-time, 30 hours per week. Salary: From £24,975 to £27,205 per annum. The role supports students on their academic journey, acting as the Designated Teacher for Care Experienced young people within Knowsley Community College and coordinating with multi-agency professionals to ensure positive outcomes for our most vulnerable students.
Responsibilities
 * Develop effective working partnerships with subject teachers, parents/carers and other stakeholders to support students on their personal development journey; monitor overall performance in college (progress, attendance, planning for next steps, and personal development).
 * Undertake a programme of group and one-to-one tutorials with each student to review progress against targets, signpost students, and support access to the wider range of services and support available through the College.
Qualifications
 * Degree or equivalent professional qualification
 * GCSE English (A-C or 4-9)
 * GCSE Maths (A-C or 4-9) or willingness to undertake training to achieve this qualification within 12 months of appointment
 * Experience of acting as a Designated Teacher for Care Experienced
 * Full UK Driving Licence and access to own transport
