Applicants are invited to apply for two Specialty Doctor (ST3+) level posts in Oncology. These are fixed-term posts for 12 months, with one full-time and one part-time (0.5 WTE) position, working within inpatient, day case, outpatient, and Acute Oncology pathways. The role will be based at Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital.

Applicants must be fully registered with the General Medical Council. Previous experience in general medicine is expected. The post holder should be capable of managing common medical and oncological emergencies.

Inpatient oncology services are provided on Yeo ward, a 23-bed unit admitting acutely unwell oncology patients from home and elective admissions. Our day-case unit is located on Cherrybrook, where patients receive systemic anti-cancer treatment, and Yarty Day Case provides initial assessments from our Acute Oncology team.

The Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital, Wonford, is the largest employer in Exeter, serving a diverse community. It provides acute hospital services to around 350,000 people in Exeter, East Devon, and Mid Devon, offering specialized services such as cancer care, plastic and reconstructive surgery, orthopaedics, paediatrics, and renal services to wider regions including Devon, Cornwall, and the Isles of Scilly.

Exeter is a historic county town in the South West of England, close to Dartmoor, beaches, and coastline.
