Education Lead Team Leader - Gloucestershire, Somerset & Wiltshire

Are you ready to lead with purpose and inspire excellence in clinical education? We're looking for experienced and motivated Education Lead Team Leaders to drive training delivery, support educator teams, and champion professional development across our counties.

As an Education Lead Team Leader, you'll play a central role in leading a team of skilled educators, delivering high-quality training, and acting as the key liaison between education and operational services in line with the teams-based model. This is a unique opportunity to influence how we develop and support our clinical workforce.


Main duties of the job

The day-to-day responsibilities of an Education Team Leader will include coordinating and managing delivery of all core Education within your county as well as additional education requests. You will oversee education compliance as well as monitoring the progress of those on an educational programme for example apprentices. As an Education Team Leader you will also work with the local CTM to support a team of Lead practice Educators and for staffing the Practice Education Vehicles that will host various educational activities such as preceptorship and apprentice support. You will be the bridge between operations and Education to ensure quality support is provided in a swift manner and ensure the feedback loop is closed.

Your leadership skills will be invested in to ensure you are equipped with all the tools needed to be this bridge and ensure credibility in role. As an Education expert you will become the single point of contact in county for all education needs. You will also work closely with your peers to ensure best practices are shared and provide support for other teams where cover is needed.

Person Specification


Education and Qualifications

* Relevant BSc (Hons) degree or equivalent
* Cert Ed or PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (Minimum Level 5)
* Level 6 or higher Clinical Supervision qualification
* Level 6 or higher Mentorship qualification
* ALS provider
* ALS Instructor
* AMLS Instructor
* PHTLS Instructor.
* EPALS
* Management or Clinical Leadership qualification
* Working towards post-graduate level qualification such as MSc.
* Cava or IQA qualification
* Significant postregistration experience as a Registered Health Care Professional
* Experience of mentoring
* Experience of teaching pre and post registration healthcare professionals in both class-based and operational settings
* Experience of dealing with staff at all levels
* Experience of liaison with external stakeholders and institutions
* Understanding and experience of training and education of registered healthcare professionals
* Working within the role of Practice Placement Educator (PPed)
* Experience of teaching at higher education level
* Experience of delivering projects
* Experience of line manager duties
