Endoscopy Lead Practitioner, Chelsfield Park Hospital, 37.5 Hours & Permanent, Salary: Up to £44,000.00 per year

We are looking for an Endoscopy Lead Practitioner to join our Endoscopy department. This full‑time role, set at 37.5 hours per week, requires covering a flexible shift pattern.
Duties
* Support, coordinate and actively assist in the management and organisation of care provision within the Endoscopy Unit.
* Provide quality planned care for patients during their peri‑procedure phase by delivering quality patient care through appropriate clinical supervision and managerial leadership.
* Implement best practice standards (HTM 01–06, Royal College guidelines, GRS, JAG, etc.) in endoscopy service delivery.
* Develop and support business initiatives, policies and strategies which improve the service delivered to all customers.
* Adhere to the departmental decontamination programme for flexible endoscopes.
* Participate in completing all departmental risk assessments, COSHH assessments and implementing action plans to address risk.
* Comply with all relevant mandatory training.
Qualifications & Experience
* Previous experience as a Senior Registered Practitioner or equivalent in an endoscopy service.
* Experience and training in pain management, care of the deteriorating patient, and care of patient under conscious sedation requiring monitored recovery.
* Experience of clinical governance and audit.
* Experience applying clinical reasoning skills across a range and varied patient case mix and competence across a range of skills, including clinical and decontamination.
* Evidence of working in partnership with Consultants to explore and challenge existing practices while maintaining and enhancing services and standards.
* Registration as a Practitioner with NMC or HCPC.
* Basic and advanced competence/qualification in Endoscopy Care and Decontamination.
* Operators and Managers Course in Endoscopy Decontamination.
* Teaching/Assessing/Mentorship qualifications.
* Knowledge and experience of appropriate standards and external bodies (Care Quality Commission, GRS, JAG, HTM 01‑06).
* ILS.
* Dual skilled in another area (recovery, scrub, anaesthetics) desirable.
