Reports to: Garden Centre Manager / Team ManagerRole Overview
We are looking for a confident and reliable volunteer to support our busy Garden Centre Gift Shop. After full training, you will be expected to work independently, serve customers confidently, and use your initiative during busy periods. Some retail or customer service experience would be beneficial.You may also support and, once confident, help train people using our wellbeing service as part of their recovery journey.Key Duties
1. Serving customers using a computerised till (cash and card transactions)
2. Providing friendly, independent customer service
3. Stocking, pricing and displaying shop items and plants
4. Checking in deliveries and scanning stock
5. Caring for houseplants
6. Keeping the shop clean, tidy and well presented
7. Supporting and training others once confident
8. Following Health & Safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
9. Able to work independently following training
10. Proactive, reliable and confident
11. Good customer service and communication skills
12. Willing to support and train others
13. Retail experience desirable but not essential
