Employee Relations Manager (6 Month FTC)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employee Relations professional to join a leading UK organisation undergoing significant transformation and growth.
This is a highly visible role where you will act as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, HR partners, and operational stakeholders, providing commercially focused and legally compliant Employee Relations expertise across a large, complex workforce.
Working within a fast-paced environment, you will lead on high-risk and complex ER matters, influence business decision-making, support organisational change initiatives, and drive continuous improvement through data-led insights and best practice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert Employee Relations advice that balances legal compliance with commercial objectives.
* Partner with senior operational and HR leaders to manage complex, high-risk and executive-level ER cases.
* Lead effective case management activity, ensuring risk mitigation and robust decision-making.
* Assess legal, financial and reputational risks associated with employee relations matters.
* Support the management of Employment Tribunal claims in conjunction with external legal counsel.
* Analyse ER data and trends, identifying opportunities to improve employee outcomes, reduce risk and prevent escalation.
* Drive best practice through coaching, influencing and educating leaders across the organisation.
* Support large-scale organisational change projects including restructures, redundancies, acquisitions, disposals and TUPE transfers.
* Contribute specialist ER expertise to strategic business initiatives and transformation programmes.
Key Skills:
* Extensive Employee Relations experience.
* Strong working knowledge of UK Employment Law and its practical application.
* Proven experience managing complex, high-volume and sensitive ER cases.
* Experience advising senior leaders and influencing decision-making at executive level.
* Demonstrable expertise in organisational change, including redundancy and TUPE programmes.
* Experience supporting Employment Tribunal activity and working alongside legal advisors.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and develop practical solutions.
* Experience designing and delivering training or capability-building programmes.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
* Strong commercial awareness and sound professional judgement.
