An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Lecturer in Electrical Maintenance Engineering to join our TTE Engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the next generation of Engineering professionals while playing a key role in a thriving academic community.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Lecturer in Electrical Maintenance Engineering, you will:
* Deliver and manage high-quality, inclusive teaching, learning, and assessment within the field of Electrical Maintenance Engineering.
* Provide both practical and theoretical instruction in key areas, such as Electrical Maintenance Engineering.
* Support students' academic and personal development, empowering them to reach their full potential.
* Design and deliver lesson plans that bridge classroom concepts with real-world applications.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and address the diverse needs of all students.
* Contribute to student recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression by offering personalised guidance and support.
What We’re Looking For
We seek candidates who:
* Hold a teaching qualification or are willing to work towards**
* Hold a qualified assessor award or willing to work towards.
* Have at least a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering.
* Hold GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths or equivalent.
* Ideally have current knowledge and/or experience in teaching one or more areas of Electrical Maintenance Engineering.
* Demonstrate an awareness of potential issues within the sector that could affect curriculum delivery.
* Have current knowledge and/or experience of career opportunities in the sector for learners aged 16–18 and 19+.

* The Lecturer Salary Scale is from Pt 5 – Pt 16. Thesalary progression criteria beyond point 11 of the Lecturer scale will be based on you achieving and maintaining, on an annual basis, the Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) & QTS. To progress beyond point 14 of the Lecturer salary scale, you will be expected to achieve and maintain the Advanced Teacher Status (ATS).
