HR Assistant - Highways
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR Assistant to join a leading Transportation business on a contract basis, paying £200 per day PAYE.
The successful candidate will support the HR Business Partner and wider HR team in delivering a proactive and high-quality HR service across the business. You will be involved in all aspects of employee relations, people development, and engagement activities, helping to drive a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Key responsibilities include:
·Partnering with line managers and supervisors to resolve day-to-day HR queries and promote best practice in people management.
·Assisting with employee relations cases, including grievances and disciplinaries, ensuring a fair and consistent approach.
·Supporting the HR Business Partner on key business projects such as restructures, TUPE transfers, and change management initiatives.
·Communicating HR processes and activities to managers and employees, including running briefing sessions and providing guidance on policies and procedures.
What you will need to succeed:
·Previous experience in a similar HR role - experience within transportation would be beneficial but not essential.
·Confident handling employee relations cases and working with a range of stakeholders across the business.
·Experience working with operational or frontline teams would be an advantage.
·A full UK driving licence is required.
·CIPD qualification (or currently working towards one) would be advantageous but not essential.
Working pattern: Monday - Friday
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
