The Role
The Marketing and Communications Intern will support the UK Life Branch's marketing and external communications activities. As a reinsurer, we build strong relationships with insurers as a trusted partner. In this role, you will assist in delivering marketing campaigns, creating content, and supporting communications initiatives to help raise the Branch's visibility in a competitive market, while gaining practical experience in marketing and communications within a Life & Health reinsurance context.
This internship is expected to start on 1 June 2026 and run for a period of 2–3 months.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of HRUK's marketing and communications activities, gaining hands-on experience across campaigns, content creation, events, and market research.
* Assist with planning and executing client events, including managing RSVPs, attendee lists, invites, logistics, communications, and post-event reporting.
* Maintain the Branch's events and sponsorship calendar to ensure smooth coordination across activities.
* Support content creation and branding initiatives, including drafting LinkedIn posts, presentations, flyers, and other marketing collateral under supervision. Proofread and edit materials and apply approved templates and brand guidelines.
* Assist in producing marketing performance reports by summarising campaign metrics across email, LinkedIn, webinars, and events. Track engagement, page views, and attendance, and prepare concise summary reports for internal review.
* Conduct market, competitor, and client research to support campaign development, messaging, and marketing strategy.
* Support website content management, updating HRUK website and internal pages to ensure content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with brand guidelines. Assist with uploading news articles, event announcements, or new content as required.
* Provide general administrative and coordination support, including preparation of internal and external marketing materials.
* Contribute to ad-hoc marketing projects and tasks that provide learning and development opportunities under the guidance of the Marketing & Communications Lead.
Qualifications
About You:
* Undergraduate or postgraduate student in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related discipline or equivalent post-secondary training with demonstrated transferable skills gained through work, volunteering, or personal projects.
Skills
* Familiarity with creating social media content, presentations, or written materials (academic, volunteering, or personal projects can be included).
* Exposure to research, data gathering, or reporting.
* Basic experience with digital tools, software, or online platforms for content creation or communication.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Organisation and time management.
* Attention to detail.
* Teamwork and willingness to learn.
* Good understanding of Microsoft Office tools and LinkedIn.
