Position
Heritage Assistant (Temporary) at Awen Cultural Trust – part‑time, 18.5 hours per week.
Location: Neuadd y Dref Maesteg (Maesteg Town Hall).
Salary: £12,598 per annum.
Statutory period: temporary until 21 January 2026.
Reporting to the Heritage Development Manager.
Responsibilities
* Digitise historic documents for the Ogwr Unlocked project.
* Assist with planning and running Ogwr History Month events.
* Collaborate with the Ogwr Heritage Network and other partners.
* Maintain and update digital records and the archive.
* Support other heritage‑related tasks as required.
Qualifications
* Interest and enthusiasm for local and family history.
* Proactive, solutions‑focused attitude.
* Good time‑management and organisational skills.
* Academic or practical experience in heritage, archives or a related field is desirable.
* Ability to work independently and in a team.
